This specialist civil contractor delivers complex airfield construction projects across the US and has secured a major project in Virginia. They are now looking for an experienced SSHO to oversee site safety, ensure compliance, and support the successful delivery of the project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safety professional looking to join a respected contractor on a high-profile aviation project while earning a competitive hourly rate.

The Role:

• 5-month contract based in Virginia.
• Oversee health, safety, and compliance on a live airfield project.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, reporting, and safety meetings.
• Work closely with project management and field teams.
• $50-$60/hr with potential for further contract opportunities.

The Person:

• SSHO / Safety Engineer experience.
• Civil construction background.
• Live airfield / aviation construction experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EM 385-1-1.
• Available to start on a 5-month contract.
